All right, it's October! Today is my wedding anniversary, so well done to Mr. Jenner and I for being pleasantly satisfied with our situation. We ate steak, put the children to bed, watched a bit of television, had a conversation about stuff and what not, and called it good.
I also bought a rather lovely pre-war sideboard. We have needed one for some time, and this one fit the bill. Thank you eBay. It was for sale near by in another village, and they offered a mighty good deal to deliver it. AND they can deliver it tomorrow. I suppose I should tidy up the living area a bit....
The sideboard is made by E Gomme who made the g-plan furniture which was the simple furniture made available during WWII in England and it was a sort of the beginnings of mid-century modern. (later over-taken by the Danish.) The piece I bought is before that and more art deco. (which is something I dig.) You can have a look at it here.
Now let's fill it up with all the freaking china and stuff I inherited.
