Mr. Jenner and I are going away this weekend to Stratford upon Avon to see some the-ay-tah! (kids are staying with Nana, where they will likely find a way to eat chocolate at three meals.) This morning I was beginning the packing process for me and Mr. Jenner. (yep, I am a pretty nice wife.) I was pulling a couple of shirts out of the closet and one was a Shakespeare-themed shirt that he was given. And it is a nice shirt (geeky and all) but then I thought, "no... no wait. That would be like wearing the band shirt of the band you are going to see." which amused me and Mr. Jenner.
In addition to seeing theater and getting a big ol' dose of culture, I am hoping to spot the most tacky/awesome Shakespeare-themed item. I am sure there is something perfect. My great hope would be for something like little boiled sweets in the shape of Shakespeare's head or something. When I find that tacky/awesome thing I will document it and possibly buy it, if it is just too perfect and not too much money. I wonder if there is a line of sweets that look like eyeballs in honor of Lear. You know that would be horrific and delightful.
