The children ate loads of chocolate yesterday. We didn't give them much but Nana went kind of crazy with the easter egg chocolate hunt, so all of the children have enough chocolate to last them a very long time. As Senor Onion has recently watched "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" for the first time, he discovered that with his hollow chocolate egg (that comes in two pieces) he could imitate Patsy clapping together two coconuts. So he was galloping around the living room and making silly faces.
We were given the news that my middle brother in law and his partner are to have a baby this Autumn. Everyone is pretty excited. My Mother in law's response to the news was a sense of relief because she just wanted him to settle down and have some kids and she wasn't sure if that was going to happen. All of the kids are excited about a new baby cousin. I am just keen to hold a baby. They aren't quite sure about the due-date yet. Apparently they had started trying a bit ago and just assumed that it might take awhile, as his partner is 36 (and she said she has had some health issues in the past) BUT it looks like they may have sorted things fairly quick. As we were all at lunch at the pub with the entire family for my father in law's birthday, All the Jenner women there said, "yeah, that sounds about right." Pretty much if you stand down-wind from a Jenner man, you will become pregnant just like that. The birthday lunch was delightful and then we hosted everyone for tea and cake at our house. This provided kids with the space to run around in the garden, and the adults slouched in the dining room with all of the cake. Mighty nice cake that my Mother in law made. I think Mr. Jenner's Father had fun. Loads of presents, nice food, and then he and Miss Biscuit looked at her zoology book and talked about sea creatures.
The children return to school tomorrow. Back to the grind.
