Another month of school to go here in England. Parents have reached that point where kids are sent to school in uniforms that are just a bit small, and just a bit ragged. "Fine. Whatever. Let's just make it last until the end of the term. I don't care anymore."
Next week we have the patronal festival to honor Reverend Hawker for starting the school. There will be a service, school races, and most importantly, tea and cake. The real genius is that it is held in a field next to the pub, so that a parent can go over and get a pint and then come back over with it. England you are a civilized place at times.
We are looking at houses again. We saw one today that had personality and was really nice in many ways but I am still hesitant. (many neighbors, no view, silver buckles are tight.) We look at another one tomorrow morning. Which may not have as much out-right character but is in our old neighborhood so we know what it is like, and it would appear to have some views. I will think more on this.
Finally
here are all of my holiday snaps. I took everything on my phone this time in an attempt to keep things more light-weight. It wasn't bad, but I bet I could go even more light-weight next time. I think this is one of the reasons why I am drawn to the idea of a tablet.
