Tonight I introduced Mr. Jenner to Only You. This is one of my favorite Romantic comedies. It was a movie made specifically for me. I am convinced of it.
It has most of my favorite things.
Love, Italy, Robert Downey Jr. and shoes. What is not to love? After I first saw this film I felt I had to marry a shoe buyer.
It didn't do especially well when it came out but I think I single-handedly keep it alive by watching it over and over again.
SHOES!

Only You was partly filmed in Pittsburgh, where I was living at the time, so of course I have a soft spot in my heart for it, even though the whole is rather less than the sum of its parts would lead one to expect.
