Most meals I have had on airplanes make me think of Healthy Choice frozen entrees. They do the job and sometimes there might be something kinda good in the mix. As a rule I don't keep my hopes up. For that is dangerous. I did once and I ended up being sick. I suspect the people at Gate Gourmet (who had recent issues with British Airways) decided to air their grievances by making some shitty food. I had a croissandwich (as they call it in the food service industry) that was so atrocious I was ashamed to be near it. But I have also had a pretty good lasagna. I tend to put all my hopes into the pretzels and ginger ale. For there I never have disappointment. I do get excited on BA flights when they have the tomato and onion flavored pretzels. The salt and vinegar ones are a close second. It seems American Airlines goes out of their way to hand out food that makes one sad that they even have taste buds. Of course now they have taken away most meal services on domestic flights and charge you for stale food. Nothing like a proper screwing.
Where does this rambling lead to? Here. Enjoy the pictures.

I wonder if people who stay for Hurricanes play songs with the word Hurricane in them. Does one get the urge to play, "Rock you like a Hurricane" or that one Bob Dylan song about the boxer who was wrongfully convicted of a crime. I would love to see a local news show use one of those songs for the coverage on the hurricanes that are going on right now.
But that might be in poor taste I suppose.
