my mother came home a bit ago. She spent the evening with her tattoo artist getting some work done.
Other people's mothers go to PTA, mine goes to get some inking done.
We are watching an old Frank Sinatra special. What a terrific deal. Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Judy Garland. Truly incredible talent. Frank Sinatra has always made me weak in the knees and when he sings, he puts such feeling in it. He sang one song that just had absolute cool written all over it. He was casually smoking this cigarette, looking longingly into the camera and really working it. What a beautiful performer. Judy Garlands rendition of "The Man that Got Away" just breaks your heart. *sighs*
I love a good television special.
I feel like singing one of my favorite songs right now, but I shouldn't wake the neighbors
My personal favorite Sinatra era would be the late forties. His voice was like buttah' the performance wasn't too over the top, and he had some great arrangements done by Nelson Riddle. I could dance/sing for hours to that.
brassy!
