Can I have both cake AND baby? Or is it like "cake OR death"?

From: [identity profile] gfrancie.livejournal.com
I was saying something the other day about cake or baby and cake or death.
You can get both!

mmm! Heh, I see you have your windowsill filled with things too. i am always knocking my things down to open the window in the summer, yet it is shelf-space, ya know?

Is he REALLY thinking of boobs? Now come on. I think he is planning to make that chair a driveable hotrod.

A lot of things are glass bottles. Milk bottles in particular.
It is all about boobs with him. Boobs and shiny objects.

if you don't frame that last one, it would be a sin.

Oh I plan to. At some point I need to sit down and print out a bunch of things.

Baby pictures is just what I needed this afternoon. God, he has the most expressive baby face I've ever seen.

He likes to make the ladies happy.

He's got such a...wistful expression much of the time. Like Woody Allen, only cuter.

I like the look of that deck. Is it heavily forested on all sides?

Date: 2007-04-27 04:02 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] gfrancie.livejournal.com
He spends his days looking at everything with a fair amount of intensity. Of course it could just be gas.
As for the deck, our neighbors on the right of us have let their property be overgrown with brambles and trees so it gives it a forested look and then to the back of us is a fir tree and a steep hillside that is covered with more brambles and large trees. While we are in the city, in the Summer is is incredibly green and sheltering. Quite lush really.

Best part: cakes and babies are easy to make.

He is just a lovely little guy. It looks as though his face is maybe filling out a bit, cheeks a bit more chubby! :)

Date: 2007-04-27 04:04 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] gfrancie.livejournal.com
Yeah his cheeks have filled out a bit more. The kid is hooked to my breasts 24/7 so all the effort may be paying off.
Besides I can prance about the house with joy because he has made it to five months without getting a cold.

Date: 2007-04-27 06:32 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] lilgrrllost.livejournal.com
I understand about the 24/7 stuff. And it does pay off. Just look no colds is a perfect example. Also, he looks so much more alert than a lot of 5 month olds do.

I don't look forward to the day when he gets his first cold. Babies look so sad when they are sick. Plus it is so difficult for them.

I often sit and contemplate those things too although I'm sure I'm nowhere near that cute doing it. Sounds like he has his priorities in order.

Finally, one of mama Gennie too!!

Plus his green outfit is the cutest thing on wheels.

Yep. That is me. (with kind lighting) I am usually the one taking the pictures.

The green outfit? Gymboree! I found a giant load of cute and chi-chi sleepers on ebay for dirt-cheap.
But you will fall for gymboree anyways. Their stuff can cost a bit but there are sales. Another brand I really really like is Le Top (again 'spensive) a few family friends gave me some Le Top outfits and those are of terrific quality. Eight million washing later and they hold up beautifully, are super soft and three shades of adorable.

I really should go to the Bellevue mall and invest in tons of JoJo clothes. How can I not dress my baby in JoJo when there is a baby clothes store CALLED JOJO?? (That's where this icon came from. It was a tag, and I tore it off one of their outfits and scanned it. heheheh!)

It is so crazy. Your child will have more clothes than you when they are born and it is all cute as lace pants.

The lighting was very very kind. It managed to hide the blotchiness, the newly formed lines and the skin damage. Woohoo.
We are the place to visit if you need baby toes and frosting. And snark. Lots o Snark.

holy damn that cake looks good!
and so do you and the baby in an entirely opposits way of course.

I wonder if the cake spice that I'm getting from Penzey's would work in that recipe if you'd care to share.

Any chance you could post the recipe for that cake? It looks just the thing for my sister's boyfriend's b'day (they are staying with us).

And - any chance you could post a recipe for that baby? Oh, wait up, I already have one of those...

Well things are kind of new to him. There is a certain sense of wonder when you are five months old. "Hey look I have toes. Look at that."

You forgot, "I wonder what they taste like." Which is really just a joie de virve that we all seem to lose as adults.

To quote Calvin: "Adults take their senses for granted."
