Incidentally, there are more than two possibilites: it could be PMS, it could be the world, or it could be random hormone wobbles. I had one day last year where I was sitting at the computer and I randomly started to cry, I felt so terrible, but there was absolutely no reason for it, and nothing externally had changed that day. Being as I'm a guy, I'm pretty sure PMS wasn't responsible, but I bet it was hormonal because there was nothing else to account for it.
