So. The basement spent three years kind of looking blah and neglected.

This was taken when we first moved in. It had various states of neglect and boredom. A lot of boxes spent time piled in there. Boxes from our wedding gifts. Then boxes from all the baby stuff.
Then more boxes. Because it was a place to put them so we could worry about it later.

ugly wall
We put that radio up so we could listen to NPR while getting high on paint fumes.

Then we painted and bought things.

new office
Voila. An office. We are getting blinds or roman shades for the window.

new office 2
More office. If you went further, there would be the fire place and the sofa.

those boys
And a cheap shot of Mr. Jenner and Senor Onion. I am a fan.

Nice paint color! And nice window! I was expecting it to be one of those small egress windows way up high on the wall that you couldn't see out of. This one has a view, even! I think all you would need is a bit of trim where the two types of wall meet, and it would look quite lovely!

We are done painting.
As in that room is going to have to be that color for quite some time. Because it is a freaking huge room.

I actually stole, STOLE! it from [livejournal.com profile] popcultureicon. Well, with his permission. I'm not sure where he got it, but it cracked me up.

That is a nice color on the walls. And the office looks very nice, too.

And, because it can't be said enough, Senor Onion is so cute!

We need to finish decorating, putting things up on the walls and adding a few bits and pieces.
But thank you.
We like the kid. I think we will keep him. He goes well with the furniture.

Excellent wall color. It's not too sunshine-yellow. Very subtle.
Nice map too!

One day we have to address our ugly bathroom.

I feed them adorable pills.
It is amazing what a coat of paint will do to cheer up a room.

Good lord your son is beautiful. Most of the time I think he looks a lot like Mr. Jenner. In this shot his face, especially his eyes, are all you.

He's adorable and this made my day. Thank you.

And P.S. the paint makes me want to cream some butter, yo!

Well your daughter is freaking gorgeous. Let's marry them off so they can one day create a race of super gorgeous people.
His looks change often so I am never sure who he looks like.

The paint is very food-worthy. It makes me think of good custard.

I love how large infants' eyes are. I think it's a deliberate trick of biology to ensure adults feel compelled to care for them when they're that helpless.

'Cause the screaming and defecating aren't exactly endearing.

That and their heads are so giant.
I think I got kind of lucky. My kid doesn't do too much screaming.
He can be a pain but he is also a pretty funny kid.

And there is a nice tea girl who brings a cuppa and a biscuit every afternoon.
Sometimes she is only half-dressed.
She also brings the post.
