Yesterday for dinner I decided to do "breakfast for dinner".
I was partly inspired by this short video of Gordon Ramsay making "sublime scrambled eggs". (Sarah pointed the video out to me)
For some reason when Ramsay started talking about making toast and how he likes it; it got me hot.

So I did eggs his way and they came out creamy and delicious. I also made some sausages to go with everything else. (tomato and mushrooms) It made for a terrific dinner.

I need to go out today and do some minor grocery shopping. (picking up spices and meat for the week) I also need to think of a pie I want to make. Last week it was a fruit pie so maybe this week it will be a custard/cream pie.

"Breakfast in bed" was all I kept thinking about watching that video.

This morning I made the world's most perfect poached egg for my breakfast.

Nice nice yum yum I want it now! I like the closing remark -- If you wanna be a good boy just run upstairs and give it to 'er in bed. And the scrambled eggs.

Hey what is creme fraiche in America? Is it under some other name?

The closing remark was made of awesome.
Creme Fraiche is Creme Fraiche. You should be able to find it in places like Whole Paycheck or specialty grocery stores. (or small Italian places)
I have used sour cream in a pinch. (though sour cream is thicker and more sour than creme fraiche)
If you want you can make your own.
Add a little buttermilk or sour cream to regular cream and let it sit at room temp. for a few hours.

Goodness. I watched the video again. I think it is the addition of the chives and the way he chops them that puts me over the edge. *excuses self for a bit of alone time*

Yeah.
When he talked about chives adding a bit of sexiness to the eggs? I nearly died.

We had some delightful scrambled eggs last night (curiously with tomatoes and bread, too), but his technique is amazing. I will have to try it!
