Entertaining fact: Once you are done being president of the united state you get a daily intelligence briefing for the rest of your life (I am guessing you can opt out if you aren't a fan of paperwork or something...) Quite a club to be a member of eh? This was brought up over Christmas dinner with my family and my brothers began doing Clinton impressions. You just know he is the kind of guy who reads the briefs and is practically begging the guys at Langley for a piece of the action. Maybe sending him to North Korea to help free those journalists was just a little something to keep him from calling up people. We know he can seduce the shit out of people, we might as well put it to good use.
He is working as an UN envoy to Haiti to deal with that horrible catastrophe.
Clinton was on the news tonight saying what was needed in Haiti. He was doing his thing.
The biggest thing needed right now is money for the basics. (food, water, medical supplies & shelter)
UN offices/hotel collapsed so even the UN is operating on three legs as it were.
One place to donate is to Unicef. A number of children are likely to be orphaned by this situation and they are some of the most vulnerable.
Another kick ass place to donate is Doctors Without Borders. Their regular hospitals have collapsed and they are treating people out in the open (along with their own staff -many were badly injured) and they need basic things like tylenol and bandages.
