Important moment: Miss Biscuit took her first few steps today. It was about three steps. I was sitting on the bottom step of our garden and she was looking at the chives in the herb garden and then she began to walk toward me. It was kind of a Wile E. Coyote moment when she realized that I wasn't holding onto her and she was on her own. She immediately reached out for me and began to cry. She was easily soothed. "look it's a strawberry."
Today I canned some cherry jam. It is rather pretty and tastes good too. Something else to add to the cupboard. I attempted to organize some things in there. It is getting full though I did notice I am down to about one jar of pickles. Time to see if any of the markets are offering pickling cukes yet. I have plans.

Date: 2010-07-17 06:36 am (UTC)Still, I think nothing could be more exciting than when a baby first rolls over. Somehow, for me, this was just the best thing in a US worlds. Code Red and I were giddy and were absolutely CHEERING Maya on for her to roll over. And when she did we broke out the vuvuzelas and went nuts.
Yay for awesome babies learning new tricks. :)
