start it off
Jan. 1st, 2012 09:31 pmThe tree went to the big tree farm in the sky today. It took a bit of failed patience on my part to take down all the ornaments and put them away with the help of Senor Onion -who seemed hell-bent on not listening to anything I said. OMG FOR THE LOVE OF MAUDE STOP TOUCHING THE BREAKABLE ORNAMENTS!!!
I was wise in buying another bin to hold the growing Christmas decoration collection. So what if I have a Christmas ornament habit. It isn't like I am selling the television to get a fix. Things are tidied and things seem bare. I left the snowflakes on the window for the time being, just because we need something to look at.
The next project: inventory of our house, culling of items, making plans for a garage sale, figure out what to do with every single object we own in this damn house and begin all that serious business for moving abroad. Or I may just set the entire house alight and call it a day. Ask me in April.
In truly wonderful news, I found out today that the little girl who visited Senor Onion's class last month (as a potential new classmate) WILL be joining our class. Oh Senor Onion will be so terrifically happy. She and he were mad about one another and he has been asking on a regular basis if she was going to join the class and when would he see her again. He will die of excitement having to wait until Tuesday to see her. Hurray for such joys
I made a trifle today...I should try some of it.

Date: 2012-01-02 05:00 pm (UTC)Yes indeed. I told him this morning about A. joining the class and he had such a smile. He said, "oh goody, she will be so happy." (when he last saw her, she was crying because she had to leave him.)
