Last night was cookbook club. It was truly a ton of fun. As usual. These are ladies I am going to miss a great deal. We cooked from the book, "Gourmet Game Night" and so it was a cocktail party with a lot of nibbles.
grape skewers
I did pickled grapes with blue cheese skewers. The grapes were pretty good and pickling them was quite simple. It balanced out the strong flavor of the cheese. Though I would suggest that you make sure the cheese is pretty firm before you cut into it. Things became crumbly.

You can see the rest of the set of pictures here.

It was kind of fun that we all got dressed up and spangly and had civilized fun food and chattered about all kinds of entertaining subjects. I suspect we may want to do this kind of theme again. Next time we are doing, "Mastering the Art of French Cooking" which I suspect will be a freaking orgy of butter, cream, and deliciousness. For that one, we will wear our eatin' pants.

You could turn it into a business. "Boob-grabbing" for parties and corporate events.

Pickled things are my favorite. Have you ever tried these deviled eggs? They're fantastically delicious.
