The weather decided to put us in our place today by being grey and rainy. And then after a quick rain/wind storm the skies are beautiful. FINE SKY I DON'T CARE. (but I do.)

I attempt to get out of my head. I bake brownies. I make macaroni and cheese. I write. Seriously. Though I want to write other things and really I need to sit down and make myself do it. COME ON GENNIE GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER. Let's speak of other things.

Miss Biscuit has fallen deeply in love with her little wooden tea set so there are a lot of tea parties going on. There are peanut butter and jam sandwiches and tea. And by God you better come to the party. She will not stand for that half-assed, "well maybe I will come if I don't get an invite to the taco food truck tether ball party with the open bar." no. You COME to her party. And you do. She is a lovely host. Mr. Jenner was a guest this evening at the Miss Biscuit tea party.

Senor Onion is doing better at school. In fact his teacher has remarked that he is back to having great days. Today was a good day. It seems the school has acquired a bouncy castle. YES I KNOW OMG A BOUNCY CASTLE. It has worked out really well. Only five kids can go in at a time but everyone is great about taking turns and making sure everyone has a go if they wish. Bouncy castles are a good exercise in being considerate and making sure everyone gets a go. It also means the kids come home good and worn out. I think all schools should have a bouncy castle. That would be the best PE class in the world. BOUNCE for 45 minutes and ta-da physical activity with none of the shame/guilt. I am full of ideas.

Mr. Jenner and I were both suffering from insomnia at different points last night. Did I give him mine? I have no idea. But we finally got to sleep. We were nicely cuddled up this morning when there was bangingg at the door. Miss Biscuit was yelling, "It's ME, Miss Biscuit, THE GIRL." Just in case we forgot who she was in the grand scheme of things. Senor Onion let her in the room. They both climbed in our bed and kicked us for awhile. It's me. The Mama. Who is effin' tired.

I want a bouncy castle at my place of work!

My teacher in the early primary school years made us have a 'disco' every morning, which involved taking our shoes off and dancing in our socks for about twenty minutes. I've always thought that was a way more effective and fun than anything we did in PE class.

What a sensible teacher - the activity wakes you up, but also gets rid of a load of energy so you can sit still!

Hee. Yeah that is what made me laugh so much.
She knows how to get a person's attention.

I love that she added "THE GIRL". 'Cause, you know... after hearing her name, you may have also forgotten that she was a girl.

Who? Oh yes, the GIRL child.

Thank goodness she reminded you! Hee.

She knows who she is and yet she worries you might not.

I used to love tea parties with my daughter. I also played grocery store with both kids wherein all of the little things in the house were priced and they chose things to buy with fake money. Then there was "library" where I gave them a stamper and cards to check in the books and I was the visitor. We had a lot of imagination games.

Also beds are never big enough for 2 kids and 2 adults! The kids seem to slowly spread out all over the bed...

We do a lot of tea parties in these parts. I attend at least two a day. I am like a queen.
