I received many books, a few bath things, a pretty bottle of perfume. Not a bad start to the day.
(plus a card from my son, and two children jumping on me and wishing me Happy Birthday)
We went out to Widmouth to have lunch and watch the breakers. The ocean was in good form today. We went to the grocery store en masse and picked up a few things so that I could make dinner.
Then the rest of the afternoon was spent with everyone doing as they pleased and I made timpano.

As my sister likes to say, "MEAT CAKE!"

It was sort of quiet, but pleasant. Children were eventually put to bed, my Mom and I watched a bit of "Outnumbered" (before she had to give up the ghost and put herself to bed.) and then Mr. Jenner and I finally watched the Christmas episode of "Doctor Who" while we devoured more sweets.

Well then. The year. We made it around the sun once again. Life happened, things shifted, the universe did its thing. You go with it and hopefully something entertaining might happen in between.
