Well Miss Gennie is in a slightly more sober mood today.
I watched nothing but CNN today. I have been CNN'ed out my friends.

Anyways campers, if you want directions and such, just email me and I shall accomodate as best I can.

I am reading a book on the 'Victorian' age and how we (as the world) are still dealing with the problems that arose during that incredible age.
I shall review later.

what else *thinks* yeah, so I drank quite a bit of beer last night.
Ham sandwich and beer. What more could a person want?

Hrm...yep.

sandwich and beer and NO CNN.

well I didn't have it all at once.
I first had a ham sandwich. I then went and drank a lot of beer.
the next day I watched TOO MUCH CNN.

I like to go overboard in small doses.
If that makes sense.

weren't the Victorians very prudish on sex, but very cool with architecture?

Yeah, that sounds about right.
The funny thing is, they were publicly prudish about sex. In private people were just as sinful as they were today. People just didn't kiss and tell.

not kissing and telling is probably a good thing. Less Jerry Springers.

Some elements of not kissing and telling are grand. You can enjoy your fun.
But in that period there were also great double standards. Much like there are now.
Many of which punished people for their mere thoughts.

The thing...there weren't less Jerry Springer's. There were tons of tabloids and pulp novels which touched on an assortment of sordid subjects. Many of which have not changed in centuries.
*laughs*
