This morning has been in the words of [livejournal.com profile] thiscantbesoy "Teh Suck".
*blinks*
I didn't sleep well last night, but I got up early because I was going to go over and see my family for the day. I got on the bus. A bus I might add would have given me fifteen to twenty minutes extra time to be able to walk five city blocks to the ferry and get on with some time to spare to find the paper and such.
Well did that happen?
no.

First the 520 bridge turned into a feckin' parking lot. That would have been slightly okay, but then there was this HUGE and I mean HUGE backup on I-5. There was an accident near the Mercer exit which to those who are not familiar with the interstate freeway system in the Northwestern part of the United State is heavily used. Especially during the 6-9 a.m. traffic rush. Well all hell broke loose as we sat there and sat there.
You know there is an episode of 'Seinfeld' where the various characters are on an assortment of subway lines and Elaine is stuck in a car that just stops and you hear her internal monologue and she is screaming, 'MOVE. MOVE YOU FUCKERS'.
That was me. I was just freaking out inside.
"Come on your feckless cocksuckers, get your shit together and move move move."
I had little hope at this point but eventually we got through that.
I was sitting across from this creepy guy who kept trying to talk to me and said, "hey baby...come on...how you doin' why don't you talk."
He then proceeded to drink something and kept saying, "ooooh yeah...I like that. Oooooh baby that is good."
My patience was near the end.
I somehow made it to my stop, where I proceeded to leap/run/race down five steep city blocks. I even went through buildings and used their escalators to go quicker.
I missed the ferry by one minute.
At this point I am overwhelmed by the pain of the shin splints.
And the lack of breath.
If for some crazy reason Seattle made a bid on hosting the Olympics and won. They could have a new sport called the hundred yard ferry dash.
I would win gold. Maybe Japan might get silver, but you know I would win that thing.
In heels!

So...the next possible ferry/bus that would get me to Port Townsend would have me there around four or so..
I postponed my visit.
After calling my Mother I promptly vomited and felt much better.

Yeah...so things are 'teh suck'.

I went to the market and bought a few groceries and the paper and came home and hulled berries and have been feeling disgusting all over.
And of course the weather has to be lovely out to make the mood crap.

I am going to avoid people for awhile.
'Nuff said.
