If anyone says they voted for Bush because of moral issues I might blanche a little.
If you take a careful look folks (I told this to someone else recently because my Mother pointed it out) The Dems are a much more pro-life party then the Republicans. They are the ones who pass more bills to help women raise their children with a success rate. To truly be someone who supports Human life is to not just support a child in the womb. What about after that child is born? The democratic party has done more to make sure that parents and children have the proper support in place so that child might have a chance to do more then survive. They put into place healthcare in many states so that no matter what a child can receive access to a doctor. There is WIC which makes sure both the parents and the child eat properly. There is Head-start which provides proper nutrition, education and even parenting classes. There is welfare to help someone get on their feet. There are many loans and grants to help someone go to college.
Remember folks the three big things that really help a child succeed in life. proper nutrition, proper education, and active parenting. If those three things are attended to early on the rate of dropping out of school, having poor grades, ending up in prison or chronically underemployed will always lower.
So who the fuck is pro-life?

Oh what a morning. I had to wake up early, go and make beautiful displays and then hear the bad news.
It is interesting to see which clumps of states went for Kerry and which did not.

So...we now hunker down, watch as several thousand soldiers die for a bad cause and several thousand Iraqi civilians die because they had the misfortune to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
All I can do is pray.
I won't let go of hope. After all I do believe in this nation and what it is truly capable of. I am a Patriotic American and will never let go of hope.
We survived in '72 when Nixon completely stole the election. We survived Herbert Hoover we can survive again.

Really what the Democrats need to win is a Southern Democrat. Even Eugene McCarthy agrees with this. One needs a skirt-chasing, charismatic son of a bitch who can get things done and has that barbecue factor that all of Middle America goes for. Which is really funny when you think about it; that essentially a good portion of America is pulled in by the guy who looks like someone they could hang out with at a party. We need an LBJ or a Clinton. *begins trolling the Senate to find a Southern Senator who has what it takes*
So it is time to go back to the drawing board. Remember we Democrats can always put things on the ballot and elect people to make his job difficult. We are never truly helpless!

Okay so on a happier note. Regency House is on tonight. I know a number of people who are big fans of the other "House" series from PBS will probably enjoy this.
I am so excited I may faint.
I am not a fan of reality television for the most part but I love this sort of thing. I think I like it because the ultimate goal is teamwork. No one wins a million dollars and your success is based on how everyone thrives together.
