little steps
Jun. 1st, 2005 05:53 pmI managed to accomplish a few tasks. I mailed off a gazillion things and acquired stamps. Yes that may not seem like much but I did it. While waiting to take the bus home I ran into someone I knew from college. For the few people who knew me from that period that I still talk to will remember her well. (I had to kill everyone else I knew from then. Sometimes it is the only way to make sure certain acts one did then remain silent. Phrases that repeat in my mind on occasion are, "I made out with him? Egads what was I thinking." or "oh why did I waste my time doing such and such." Thankful that period of my life was brief.) It was good to talk to her. She looked much healthier then she used to and she has some really pretty tattoos. Then a rather drunk old man walked by and yelled, "I think my girdle is killing me." His friend said to him, "should we tell mom about the socks?" The girdle comment immediately made me think of
cogshiftingman The old man repeated his famous line a few more times just in case no one heard and needed a good chortle.
Then I came home and felt proud that I also didn't succumb to the urge eat really bad food. I walked past one place that has delicious-tasting food that is so bad for you. I was tempted but I didn't and I feel glad that I didn't give in.
Mr. Jenner put up a couple of pictures I gave him awhile ago so walls look pretty.
Now I will make soup and have a drink.
....
This is kind of interesting
