Senor Onion was out of sorts and insisted upon an early morning. So we were up, listening to the radio and doing our best to pull things off of shelves.
Now there is something I ought to do when I feel off. I should go into shops and pull things off of shelves. All the years I worked in retail; a good portion was spent picking up after people who pulled the things off of shelves. Maybe the population is feeling grumpy.
After schlepping about the house this morning; we went to the grocery store and had ourselves a grand old time as one should.
I spent the rest of the morning making ratatouille. Some of it will be served with dinner and the rest will be saved for another meal. It is research and fine-tuning for the Vegetarian series I will be doing for my food blog. Tonight's dinner will be croque monsieur and ratatouille.

I finally finished Thursday Next. It was fantastic. Jasper Fforde is very funny and has a real knack for turning a story on its head. His books always inspire me to read more books. I haven't exactly had the time/energy to read a great deal but I am proud (funny word to use but it works) of the fact that I have read nine books this year despite being distracted by a short person. Obviously most of it wasn't Tolstoi or Trollope but it still entertained and delighted.

I suppose I ought to go and face the laundry. There are stains to treat and whites and brights to sort through.
