I am taking "generic" Soma. I have been reading all about the side-effects and how it turns giraffes blue or something.
Anyways. It made me a little spacey for an hour or so last night and then it left me aware enough that I could make pancakes for dessert.
It is one of the few things I can take that won't have a profound effect upon Senor Onion when I nurse him. Though it can make him a little drowsy but I have managed to time things so he isn't really exposed to it.

Yesterday I roasted a chicken with a bit of lemon and tarragon in the cavity and I brushed the skin with olive oil and sprinkled a bit of salt on top. I also made couscous with finely chopped red bell pepper, parsley and paprika and then a spinach salad with dried fruit and chevre. Healthy and everything.
Not a clue as to what I am putting together tonight. It's Ash Wednesday so ideally I should make something sans meat. You know in the early days of the Church, eating beaver (no jokes please) wasn't considered eating meat? I know I know... The Church is weird. But I think that has been long hashed out so we don't need to go into any discussion about that. Do we understand poppets?

I have more to say but I am a little distracted.

I baked up a pile of oatmeal cookies today. What else are you going to do when it is raining out.
My son has decided that pears suck but he is more than happy to eat hummus on toast or with chicken. Which is a change from last week when hummus and chicken was gross.
I don't get too worried about what he will and won't eat as it is pretty varied. It is just hard to keep up with what he has decided he will eat on a given day. I refuse to say, "Oh he only eats this" because what was not tasty last week is delicious this week.
Except bananas. Bananas are always the best in his world.
And weird things he finds on the ground.

So.
The car is a total loss.
I am rooting for a pink pony with rockets. And sparkles.
But that might be the medication talking.
