Today was spent with an exquisite headache and no internet connection. I did some knitting, read some of my book, played with my son and listened to old Radio 4 panel shows.
My head hurts less now and I don't quite feel like my eyeballs are trying to escape.
Yesterday I said I would murder anyone that would dare turn on the stove, so we went to Blue C Sushi for dinner. As I told a friend, "It isn't the high art sushi, but it is all right." They also have air conditioning and high chairs. My needs were met. Senor Onion enjoyed himself and made a mess. We ate cold food and a little went a long way.
Yesterday morning we also had a visit from a tiling guy who was giving us an estimate to do up the walls around the bath. Now comes the potential task of picking out tiles and figuring out if I want a pattern or something. I have a few ideas about the color I want but I worry that it might look too dated or silly. I will go to the tile shop this week and look at things. I want to paint the walls of the bathroom a very pale pink color. When I was 19/20 I worked for a Department store that has this fabulous ladies lounge/bathroom on the second floor and they painted things pink in there and I have to say, the pink decor and the lighting made everyone look good and probably made people feel good. Besides famed socialite Nan Kempner (that wack-a-doo broad of yore) had a pink bathroom. She said, "I painted it pink, so it isn't such a shock to look at oneself in the morning."
Nan babe, I couldn't agree more.
But I am not going to go with pink tiles for the area around the tub. I don't think Mr. Jenner would appreciate that.
Let's see for other fun activities... I made blueberry sorbet. It is a nice deep purple color with the right amount of tartness. I bet it will stain people's teeth something fierce. Sometimes you have to suffer a little during a meal.

I just realized that with the unpleasant humidity and this headache I have been suffering an acute case of the terribles. I should obviously lay around and moan -all Southern gothic-like.
