Turtle soup the story continues

The response to the turtle soup recipe request was interesting.
There was a comment about not feeding the trolls. One person offered a recipe for Kitty Casserole. Someone mentioned their college roommate loving squirrel stew and a couple of people offered a turtle soup recipe from The Joy of Cooking. So there was definitely a sense of humor. Today someone said, "while it appears to be a joke, even if it is a pet -give it away."
Fairly rational and entertaining responses.

As it is Thursday it is time to read Gwyneth Paltrow's GOOP. I always run the risk of snorting tea out of my nose when I read her wee newsletter. Thanks Gwyneth for usually providing giggles. I am always bound to take advice from someone who wears leather formal shorts. Though this week she just shares recipes from her BFF Mario Batali. (I love Batali and respect him, but I would like someone to take his orange crocs and set them on fire.) Interesting that this dinner -has fennel in each of the dishes. Maybe he thought he was on Iron Chef? Where is the Fennel sorbet?

Okay enough of that food snark, I have to find some clothes that fit and mentally prepare for storyhour. I hope to God they don't do the hokey-pokey. Senor Onion and I are not hokey-pokey people.

Oooh yes, (almost forgot) bought a ton of oranges. I do believe there will be orange marmalade made this weekend.
