No real point again.
Jun. 3rd, 2009 12:49 pmThe other evening I was driving home (with some delicious fried chicken from Ezell's. My fried chicken craving has been scratched for the year.) and I was right behind this one car in traffic. The license plate said, "LUSHISS". The plate-holder said, "46-38-52 Lusciously thick!" The car I would like to note was a Maxima. I admit I giggled and then thought, "Now there is someone with a healthy self-image." I bet she is a fun person to hang out with.
My beverage of the Summer is Aqua Frescas. I have a few other people hooked on them. If you need booze I think adding a little vodka and triple-sec might be good. I also like to freeze the stuff and then add it things. A good slushy alternative. (sometimes I also add blueberries.)
We are having a pretty warm week in these parts. It is great in some respects. The blue skies are gorgeous, my garden is having a field day and it cheers everyone up after the long dark snowy winter from hell. But as a pregnant person, it isn't terribly comfortable at all. I must remember that should I ever decide it would be hilarious to have another child that I should avoid being in the third trimester during the Summer months. (again I am not terribly good about the long-term consequences of sex. Need to work on that.) So I am drinking a lot of beverages, eating a great deal of ice cream and trying to ignore the heat and the general pain of things. I get (what I hope) are braxton contractions if I do too much of anything. I stay out in the garden doing whatever -contractions. I chase after my kid, pick him up or whatever -contractions. I even had contractions at the grocery store this morning. Bleh. Okay fine I will slow down. Whine whine whine. Moan moan moan. The new excitement is back pain. It goes well with hip pain.
I think I should go in search of ice cream today. I thought about hitting up a farmer's market today but it is too warm and I can wait until Friday when the neighborhood market will be open and it will have cooled down a bit. Here is to hoping that strawberries will be available in large quantities.
