I am feeling less...murderous today.
I watched the second Harold and Kumar movie last night. It was hilarious and dumb. I loved Neil Patrick Harris "as Neil Patrick Harris". He obviously has a very good sense of humor about himself and enjoys playing a Rasputin-like drug/sex fiend who is lucky enough to see unicorns. Mr. Jenner and I were discussing how his "character" is one that may get you into trouble but he helps you in the end. And you have to admit he is generous as he is willing to buy a round of whores for friends. Plus I think the Harold and Kumar movies are great pieces of commentary on race/culture in post 9/11 America. Yes. Truly. We can have this conversation sometime. I will even provide visual aids.
I also had a milkshake. I made it healthy by adding a banana and using chocolate syrup that had added calcium.
A dumb funny movie, milk-based desserts and a nice conversation with Mr. Jenner helped keep me from ending up on the news. Thank you all.
Sometimes one has to remind themselves to have a conversation with their spouse to find out what is going on. Communication and all that good stuff.

I am still kind of itchy. But I am tending to it as best I can.
I finished reading Lipstick Jihad and thought it was enlightening, sad and poignant. I want to read her other book about getting married in Iran. I had read an excerpt of her second book in the NY Times and have been meaning to get to that for awhile. In the mean time I picked up a Monica Dickens book from the library (about her experiences as a nurse during WWII) and I am rereading a Susan Loomis book...just because it is soothing.

This morning I had a pre-natal appointment. While I got into the exam room in record time, I did wait around for awhile. This is just the reality if you have a lot of pregnant women around. There was a woman having an NST, someone else went into labor (so they had to sort through that) and since I am a chill lady and there was People magazine in the exam room. I was having a fun time. Plus they would check in every so often and say, "sorry about this." Again I appreciate this. As for my exam; Biscuit is healthy and I am healthy. Somehow... I didn't gain weight this month. (I guess I did it all last month or something...) My provider said, "obviously you just need to get pregnant a lot as your weight-loss plan." *snorts* I like her sense of humor. I am measuring nicely. (I carry babies pretty high it seems.) She just said to keep drinking plenty of fluids to help with keeping my blood pressure up. I rewarded myself with an ice beverage and a ricotta sweet roll from a near-by Russian bakery. *burp*

I also scheduled an appointment for acupuncture on Friday morning. We will calm down the rage-filled Mummy.
