I think I sorta slept better? It may have helped to have a cool day and nice new clean sheets so that by the time I went to bed I wasn't completely frazzled?
I still had the most vivid epic dream I have had in some time. It was kind of a nightmare but I couldn't help but watch. How to explain it.
Essentially I was somehow witness to 500/600 years of Jewish persecution in various parts of Europe. There would be these scenes where truly horrible genocide would happen and just as people were about to be slaughtered I would notice this little old man. He was Jewish. He had what appeared to be a flute and he was always among the people and his clothes didn't exactly change. But he would manage to escape from being murdered. He would just quietly wander off before anyone could get him. I would follow him. Sometimes he would laugh quietly or play his flute. On occasion when someone would notice him leaving he would just quickly hide somewhere. Like within a hedge. And this kept going on and on. Just different periods of history when some group or another would decide, "hey let's see if we can kill a bunch of Jewish people." It was just so very strange.

Lovely visit with my Mom. Senor Onion was thrilled to see his Grandma. He has been keen on this visit all week. The downside is that he didn't nap. So he melted down at one point.
We went to a yarn shop and a fabric shop. Had to look at fabric so Grandma can make a dress or two for Baby Biscuit. Then we went to the farmer's market where Senor Onion had his meltdown over some berries. Took a bit of work to calm him down. It was also blazing hot, he hadn't napped and well no one was amused. But he was cheerful soon enough. I felt embarrassed to have him act like that in public because he is normally well-behaved.
Came home with berries, cherries and other delicious things. His favorite vendor was happy to see him. She is the woman we buy meat from and occasionally potatoes. She has known him since he was pretty tiny and remarks how big he gets.
Had a good conversation with my Mom about babies and other Motherly things. I also found out some useful/interesting stuff regarding genetic history. It helps with medical stuff down the road I think.
Dinner was antipasto platters, a caprese salad and some fruit. Something light and comfortable on a warm day. I took my Mom to Old School Frozen custard after dinner. She was quickly won over when she had a sundae with hot fudge and pretzels. She loves a bit of salty flavor with her sweets. She was almost lured in by the butterfinger.
Ran into [livejournal.com profile] sallysimpleton on our way out. Seattle is a small town. Always fun to see people.

Oof, tired and warm. Have a wedding to go to tomorrow which will be fun. I will get to see people I haven't seen since my own wedding. And some people will get to meet Senor Onion for the first time. (home-town weddings are like that) I may even shave my legs for the event.
