Nothing like a pretty Sunday

Last night in our greater neighborhood, a police officer was shot and killed. Our neighborhood blog covered it pretty well. The whole thing was kind of tragic and weird. The cop and his trainee were sitting in a parked vehicle and this other vehicle came up and fired right at them. Just like that. I looked at the blog because we were sitting at home and cop cars kept going by and making a ton of noise.

Senor Onion woke up at half past five. Thank you Day Light Savings. Mr. Jenner was kind and got up with him as I had been up half of the night with Miss Biscuit -who seems to be working on another growth spurt. By eight am we were tired and Senor Onion was manic. (the lack of nap yesterday didn't help.) Mr. Jenner took Senor Onion out for a walk, which helped a bit. I went out with Miss Biscuit and was social. Again it helped.

I went to brunch with a friend at Caprice Kitchen. She hadn't been before and I think we had fun. We both ended up having the french toast with hazelnut butter and bacon. Mmmmmm. I like the servers there. They don't hover and they are friendly. I had a nice chat with one about Miss Biscuit. (who came along and slept. What a delightful companion to have.) Afterward we went to Honore Bakery. They are known for their adorable help and macarons. I bought a chocolate one and a hazelnut one. (we will have those for tea.) They had some apple danish that looked truly beautiful. I should have bought one of those. It is an absolutely beautiful day today. I got to the restaurant early and I sat outside with Miss Biscuit giving her a quick nurse and the temp. was perfect. Everything felt so crisp and it was sunny again. A good Sunday all around.

Senor Onion is now napping. Thank you Jesus. I will not lose my mind -yet.

Now to finish making lists for the week.
