I am kind of falling in love with cooking again. I go through phases. Sometimes it depends upon what is going on in my life. It isn't like I am doing a lot of original cooking or getting all avant-garde with foam and weird utensils but I am just enjoying the business of making dinner or playing around with something I wouldn't normally go for.
While I am always interested in the politics of food I think right now I am more about the pleasure of cooking and eating. It doesn't have to be mindful or correct or healthful. It is sometimes impulsive and sometimes silly but it is more about being present in the act. (which I have to say, has helped keep the weight off.)

So I have another food blog I am playing around with. It is more about what is going on in my kitchen. Glimpses of the day to day nonsense. Sometimes there will be full recipes. and mostly it will be what is going in my mouth. What is catching my fancy. Or as I put it elsewhere... "another asshole with a food blog."

I will still keep my other food blog on LJ for all kinds of food stuff. Be it gadgets that are off the chain, kick-ass shit going on where I live in terms of food and maybe other extended food projects. Because I have things going on in my head. (yo I am going to San Francisco in a month and while I have small people with me, I plan on eating like crazy. I am good at it.)
