Senor Onion discovered Mr. Jenner's old cassette tapes. Mr. Jenner found him an old walkman and let him play with it. Senor Onion likes to listen to things for about ten seconds and then find something else. He picked out a cassette tape and said to Mr. Jenner, "This is more dignified." The tape he picked was part one in a two part compliation of "Best of Love". (or something to that effect)
Yeah. Dignified.
It was Sunday. The weather was questionable and I cooked. I baked some brownies. Because a person always needs some brownies. I made a steak and mushroom pie for dinner and then on a whim I made pasta dough. I am not sure what kind of pasta I will make yet. I need to look around in the kitchen for ideas. Maybe another ravioli. Something with mushroom? Dinner was nice. Along with the pie I steamed some potatoes and tossed them with a bit of butter and sliced up some carrots.
Today was kind of an exhausting day. We tried to wear out the toddler who will not be tamed. He just would not nap and then graced us with his manic behavior this afternoon. Miss Biscuit isn't napping/sleeping well and wants to be held 24/7. I don't think it is teething but it is wearing on one's nerves.
I went to Trader Joe's this morning and I saw a very sweet sight. There was a Father pushing a cart that held his toddler daughter and he was softly singing to her that old Temptations song, "My Girl". His voice was pretty good too. I almost wanted to follow him around the store as he sang. His daughter looked completely captivated.
