Until about half an hour ago the weather was sublime. The sort of May day in Seattle that makes a person faintly weak in the knees. The grass is technicolor green like out of an MGM musical, the trees are in full bloom and everyone says "Hello, Nice day isn't it", even to complete strangers. I took Senor Onion out for a tricycle ride just before lunch. Miss Biscuit rode in the carrier and she strained to catch everything. Mom is dull but leaves and flowers and dogs are where it's at. I sort of wanted to dance down the street singing Almost Like Being in Love. The month of May makes living in Seattle seem like darn perfection. It is the prize for putting up with January.
We are supposed to get a storm (it has clouded over an the wind and rain are starting to pick up a bit) so I will make a lentil dish with plenty of bacon for dinner. There will also be a green salad and fresh bread. (baked this morning)
