An entertaining Friday. My Mom, my brother Mike and a family friend came over today for a late lunch and chatter. My brother Mike moved into his apartment today. It is a wee studio on capitol hill and suits him rather well. I got him a few things to get him set up.
I went to the Friday Farmers market and came home with tons of things. Tomorrow I will make a couple of different kinds of jam. I took other things to make dinner. I cooked up pasta and tossed it with a bit of bacon, cream, butter and peas from the garden. I took the summer squash and tomatoes I bought and sauteed that with some fresh spinach and it made for a nice warm salad. There was also bread that I baked this morning. My Mom who has made a lot of bread in her day was impressed with the loaf. Finally for dessert there was angel food cake and assorted ice cream and sorbet. People were well fed.
Miss Biscuit is ten months old today. Time goes too fast. She is just such a delightful little ham. That's the only way to put it at times.
