It is another exciting day at Chez Anglo-America.
There was the trip to Trader Joe's. (where Senor Onion rang the bell.) Then while Miss Biscuit took a nap; Senor Onion and I made silly glasses out of paper and wizard hats. There was a lot of decorating. It was high comedy when everyone was trying on the glasses. Even Mr. Jenner had a go. We baked brownies and generally ran around the house like crazy people. After lunch we made aioli. Senor Onion refers to it as A-lollie. He had picked out an artichoke at the fruit stand and I finally got around to using it. (If he finds some fruit or vegetable I tend to let him get it.) Later we did some gardening. (mostly tidying up the bed in the front garden that I have expanded, adding compost and giving everything a good watering.) Then we picked
strawberries and used some of the fruit in a syrup. We used some of the excess syrup to pour over the summer pudding. It was pretty deep in color but it needed a bit more oomph.

It was a pretty lovely day. I took the kids out into the garden to pick peas, we picked some oregano and basil to put in the pasta con sardine and we even got in an episode of
Arthur. (I am thoroughly convinced that Mr. Ratburn is gay as a hat.)
