I had these small cavities on either side of my front teeth. The ever lovely Dr. Bang took care of them for me. God damn I am going to miss her. She was firm but never scolded or guilted me. She would numb the ever living fuck out of my mouth because I would get squirrely in the chair. She worked fast. Because of the drugs I could not feel my lips or my nose for a good portion of the day. I kept feeling like my nose was dripping but it wasn't. Sometimes there is no finer entertainment than touching your nose over and over and realizing you can't feel it.

Getting my hair done was a pleasant experience. I love looking at how hairdressers tend to have avant-garde hair. I saw a number examples of taking the idea of beauty and sort of re-inventing it. In some ways the choices made were incredibly feminist in that they were wild and out there hairstyles that were created to please themselves and no one else. I kind of dug that. The girl who did my hair had an ENORMOUS butterfly tattoo on her chest. It was quite pretty and detailed. She also does good hair.

The rest of the afternoon was spent with the kids. Miss Biscuit spent another session of playing in the dirt trying to find more rocks for her collection, and following the ants on the ground. You can never meet too many insects. Senor Onion continued to master minecraft when he wasn't hosting picnics in the garden.
