Yesterday Miss Biscuit was watching a children's program called, "Peter Rabbit" and it uses some of the characters from Beatrix Potter, and is inspired by some of the stories. I was preparing dinner and not paying close attention as it is cbeebies and tends to be fairly mild. Miss Biscuit suddenly burst into tears and was filled with terror because she thought the fox was going to eat Peter. It took a bit to calm her and I promised her that, Peter would not be eaten and that I bet that the fox would be defeated. (Obviously she isn't old enough to be told, "don't worry kid, children's tv tends to stick to pretty reliable tropes and it isn't like a Scandinavian wrote this.") I held her and pointed out as the Fox got what was coming to him. She felt much better, but she was pretty sensitive to this situation. Even Senor Onion told her it was going to be all right and he pet her hair.

Yet I must point out the other side of my dear sensitive children. They had also come up with a game where Senor Onion was Mrs. McGregor, and Miss Biscuit was Mr. McGregor (she likes to yell, 'Stop thief'.) and I was "chosen" to be Peter Rabbit. For some reason Senor Onion had a toy drill (which makes a menacing noise). The game involves me having to run for it while they tried to get me to put me in a pie. So imagine if you will... they were hunting the ultimate prey. And when Miss Biscuit would spot me, she would go after me with a stick and yell, "stop thief" and Senor Onion's drill would start going and I would have to keep running and hiding. They laughed and laughed like maniacs.

My sensitive creepy children.
