I took Senor Onion to the dentist on Thursday. So bright. So early. They had a look around in his mouth and said that it looked like the infection was under control, the inflammation was not there, and that they were inclined to wait and see. Which is interesting compared to what my dentist in the US wanted to do. "RIP OUT THE TEETH PUT IN SPACERS". The NHS dentist (holy shit this was free y'all.) said, "well we could remove the filling, let things breathe as it were but that would require keeping things incredibly clean but that is really difficult with children. OR we could remove the teeth but that can make things complicated because of the way the teeth grow in, and these baby teeth will come out soon enough on their own." The dentist then said that if the problem returns then, yeah they will remove the teeth but it would be better to hold off and see if things improve, and just brush/floss like woah. Fair enough. I also learned from my sister in law that if you push it a bit, the NHS will cover braces. (good to know in the future because that is a distinct possibility if they inherit my family's teeth. I hope they don't.) The dentist is from.... somewhere in Europe, (I couldn't quite place her accent.) and she couldn't quite remember how to pronounce canine, but you know she gets massive points for giving it a go, because that isn't easy, and she is a good dentist who doesn't immediately jump toward doing invasive procedures.
I realized that my dentist is somewhere from Southern Europe, my lady GP is German, the specialist I saw in Truro was Moroccan. Bring on the immigrants I say. (but then, I am one too.) Richer diverse cultures are better ones.

Yesterday I noticed that the vegetables kept freezing in the crisper and that the very back of the fridge had a layer of ice. This wasn't good. I had to move food to our extra fridge in the garage (fancy people problems.) and I deep-cleaned/defrosted the fridge/freezer. It looks excellent now, and I removed A TON of built-up ice. The downside is that leaning in certain positions or something, completely fucked up my back. I am an idiot. I thought if I took a Tylenol with codeine and got some rest I would be all right. I woke up this morning (rather late) and I am still a mess who can barely walk. I am spending the day in bed. Fuck it. I can't do things like bend over to clear out the dishwasher, or deal with the laundry. I can stand... sort of, and walking is complicated. So here I am in bed. I have to get better because next week Mr. Jenner has to go out of town for work stuff. I can't be all crippled then. So for now I lay in bed with a hot water bottle, and I am going to live wildly and take ibuprofen. I have my laptop and phone. Maybe I will watch old movies, and eat chocolate like a fancy lady.
