Tonight while driving home with Andrew we were listening to some slightly unhip pop song from the early seventies. Often a song used for movie previews, and definitely heard on tv advertisements for compilation cd's. You know..."Best of the early seventies AM gold" crap.

Then an epiphany came to me. The reason we as a people like mp3s really has nothing to do with the RIAA totally giving it to us in the ass regarding prices and such.
We just want to download slightly cheezy songs without having to endure the shame of buying a cd collection off of the television.
Am I right or am I right?
