waking up to a nasty windy rainy day is fun. Even more fun is realizing you over-slept and you have to be at work in ten minutes...so I raced, made it to work and had a croissant.
yeah...cool
so saturday night I wimped out and did not go to the outdoor movie, because frankly I just didn't have the consitution to sit out in the cold...even if there were going to be flying monkeys. So instead I washed my hair and then settled down to several hours of british television. I fucking *heart* the Vicar of Dibley, almost makes a person want to become an anglican, but not quite....
sunday sunday....I fit of insanity. I made a stuffed roasted chicken, whipped potatoes, applesauce, and a caeser salad. The impressive part is the onions, apples and potatoes came from my garden. The ceaser salad was truly the masterpiece....home made including the coddled egg and the croutons made from scratch. Everyone gave themselves a good dose of tryptophen and then passed out for the evening. Good times for all.
My darling friend Meighan is here visiting me. I think we are going to go out and do fun things. Maybe even find some sailors...speaking of sailors....*faints for a moment*
Yesterday the most handsome naval officer asked me where he could find a copy of Dante's Divine Comedy. I just looked at him...completely lost in his eyes....he looked sooo good in his uniform and he knows the classics....gen is inlove....and I could barely talk to him...such brilliance. *laughs*
sadly...a hat I wanted and saw was bought up. damn it was too perfect. Oh well the lady who sells them is going to England in October and will find a bunch of nice things for me. People know your buyers of your favorite stores, they will do things for you.
By christmas I shall have a lovely collection of hats.
