I am finding that these brownies taste even more amazing a day or two after making them. They are like giant truffles.
I may have found a winner.

Last night I made the man super happy. I made him quiche, fed him brownies and amused him with my stories of once being Canadian.

I want a brownie. Was the final recipe the one you posted the other day?

Yes it was the final recipe. So you can go forth and make yourself a big batch of happiness.

As a child. It is a long funny messed up story.
I was french-canadian actually.

I was crew with Celine Dion.

*laughs*
No, nothing that glam.
My Father (the winner of the year) completely lied about his background. He told his, that his father's side of the family happened to be French-Canadian. So I grew up thinking that is where that portion of the family was from.
They were actually Italian. *laughs wildly*
So I don't have to worry about the shame of being in the same boat as Celine Dion.

I like to say crew, because I knew this kid in junior high who used to talk about leave it to beaver. He was this wannabe hiphop dork and he would go off on these dialogues in my math class to whoever would listen and he would say things like, "yeah, back in the day I used to watch leave it to beaver with that fine june cleaver. Then when I was older I would catch that new leave it to beaver. I was down with that. I am tight with the beav' me and the beav' are crew."
I always found it funny and liked to use that term as a joke.

I should start saying, "Me and Julia Child...we're tribe" *snorts*

Can we rent you out for the weekend? How much would you charge for coming down, making meaty quiche, and generally being amusing and interesting for a couple of days?
