moooooooooo
Aug. 14th, 2003 06:43 pmIn other exciting food news. I get the monthly newsletter from Elevated Ice Cream and they have interesting articles about things like butterfat. It excites me, but I am peculiar.
thiscantbesoy is a fan of their rarely seen cinnamon kiss. I am in the process of locating some for her so she could die a happy girl in her pretty pretty princess panties.
Anyways, back to the subject of ice cream. It seems they have begun experimenting again and they have come out with Cardamom ice cream. I have often discussed how amazing the ice cream is in this wonderful place. It is home-made, no air and so well-made it should be illegal and it has also spoiled me for life when it comes to how ice cream ought to taste.
The cardemom makes me think of some Iranian ice cream flavors and I wonder if they are branching out in that direction. Maybe next time they will have rosewater ice cream. Made with rose petals.
As always my favorite flavor is lemon custard. Any time of the year it pleases me.
Equal excitement comes at the holidays when they come out with pumpkin flavored and eggnog flavored ice cream. (they use dairy gold eggnog, the only store-bought eggnog worth purchasing, with the pretty canary yellow carton)
As I often like to point out. They can ship anywhere. Please jump on the dairy bandwagon. Get your fill of butterfat.
They also do non-dairy desserts as well. For the truly lactose intolerent. (not those whiny people who like to be sick, you know who you are)

Maybe you should switch over to randomseed. I haven't had much trouble. Or maybe it is the cable modem.
How is your pink eye?

I honestly don't know if I've ever had lemon custard, but that certainly sounds right up my alley. Which store bought brand would you recommend?

Lemon custard I have only had at elevated I haven't found it in any commercial place.

Date: 2003-08-14 08:06 pm (UTC)As for another flavor they should investigate, lavender is nice. Actually Snoqualmie ice cream makes lavender. But I think someone should make violet. They make violet pastilles, and I do so love the flavor. They also make rose pastilles, which I love, so I'm sure I'd dig rosewater ice cream.
Lettuce go into the ice cream bidness ourselves, Gen. We know what the ladies like.
And we could wear TONS of perfume, EVERY day. And wear pretty pretty princess panties.

But I love the filling most
I rub it on my roast
I mix it in with my coffee
And spread it on my toast

Date: 2003-08-14 11:48 pm (UTC)I think if we need to resort to cardamon flavoured ice cream our palates must be getting jaded indeed.
Perhaps before taking a position on this, I should try some ....

They also have amaretto flavored ice cream and I wasn't sure if I was going to like that.
