I am such an old lady.
Aug. 15th, 2003 12:20 amMy brother is going to move to New York in the fall to attend school (he is studying to be an actor/director)
So I was talking to my mother about how worried I am about him.
He is my little brother. It was just him and me for a long time. My two other siblings are quite a bit younger then us.
I think sometimes, "how can he be allowed to go there on his own. When he was three, he got his head stuck in a window."
He will be fine. He is a smart kid, he will get a job. He is incredibly kind and sweet. He will do great things.
So, to those LJ people who live in New York. Keep an eye on him for me. And to the gay men out there...he is straight. Trust me, so don't think you can convert him. He grew up in a household of a million homosexuals and he knows he likes girls.
He likes to say, "I just kiss boys on the weekend." Hrm..come to think of it. He and I kissed the same boy once. *laughs wildly*
My family is so weird.
Yeah, and if any of you know of a student-friendly job in manhatten (since that is where he will end up living and is going to school) let me know.
He shall be arriving in the middle of Sept. He will probably be looking for a supercheap place to sleep.
He says he doesn't require much. Just a place to dump his clothes, rest his head and take a shower.
Yeah, I worry a lot. It gives me something to do.

Date: 2003-08-15 05:59 pm (UTC)So um...how did your birthday turn out?
He doesn't have much clothes. He can keep them in his suitcase. I was looking at craigslist. So I figure once he moves into the city. (I think he has a place to stay briefly) he ought to check it out.

Date: 2003-08-15 06:01 pm (UTC)He is 19, going to be twenty in January. He is going to the American Acadamy of Dramatic Arts. So you two might have something to talk about.
Hey I don't know a lot of people, but as long as you don't mug him, kill him or get him into a cult I will trust you.
I should let him know, so he can look you up.
