dinner talk
Aug. 21st, 2003 07:14 pmYesterday's dinner turned out quite nice.
We had stuffed roasted chicken, steamed corn, and carrots. (because I will not let my boyfriend get rickets)
For dessert I took a cue from
sarahparah and made a peach galette.
I like making pie crust so this gave me something to do. I decided to brush it with strawberry preserves and it had a pretty peachy rose color to it in the end.
Andrew liked it with the sherbet. (He is very fond of sherbet if you had not noticed)
Tonight I took the leftover chicken, removed all of the meat from the bones and decided to make chicken pot pie!
I shall post the recipe later.
First I must melt some butter.

Date: 2003-08-22 09:12 pm (UTC)I just don't think I have had the stuffed chicken.
Oh well, you will have to make that for me sometime.
I know you are a very good cook so don't pull the 'oh woe is me' stuff little lady.
Can you send me the recipe for that casserole?
I should send you the recipe for the brownies I have been making. I think you would like it.
