Yesterday's dinner turned out quite nice.
We had stuffed roasted chicken, steamed corn, and carrots. (because I will not let my boyfriend get rickets)
For dessert I took a cue from [livejournal.com profile] sarahparah and made a peach galette.
I like making pie crust so this gave me something to do. I decided to brush it with strawberry preserves and it had a pretty peachy rose color to it in the end.
Andrew liked it with the sherbet. (He is very fond of sherbet if you had not noticed)

Tonight I took the leftover chicken, removed all of the meat from the bones and decided to make chicken pot pie!
I shall post the recipe later.
First I must melt some butter.

the recipe is in the cookbook, "square meals". Just as mom. I think the title of it is "chicken in the garden."
It is pretty easy to make and people can eat the leftovers.

ta-da something else to feed the ungrateful masses.

I think you will like this recipe. Plus you get to use the kitchen-aid for this recipe. It requires a lot of chocolate.
