anxiety not just for breakfast anymore.
Aug. 27th, 2003 07:00 pmDespite having an anxiety attack and wanting to hide in the apartment all day long in my pajamas and play Mrs. Miss Havisham, I went out.
Be proud of me. Somtimes when I have these attacks I have to resist the urge to hide in a closet all day long.
I went and took care of some errands, I met up with my friend Meighan (who I went to school with) and we looked at records, books, and generally talked shit about people. This is what a friend is for.
We went to Elliot Bay Books and I found the third Griffin and Sabine book for wicked cheap. I was quite pleased. Then we sat outside a cafe, drinking cool beverages in the shade, talking about this and that. Then I saw her off to the train, because I like doing that sort of thing.
I felt so much better afterwards.
Today I carried a few things in the purse that might label a person crazy.
I have a bunch of fresh basil, a new bra, a book, and perfume samples.
Maybe what might be startling is how common that is for me.
Today the samples are Arpege by Lanvin, (same firm that makes My Sin) L'eau D'Issey, and a little tiny bit of Joy (by Jean Patou)
Oh let's prance around in our new underwear and perfume, chopping up basil for pesto sauce.
I am exhausted, but I feel so much better.
