The great Mr. Charles Bronson has passed away.
In honor of him, I will have to watch the Magnificent Seven, The Great Escape, and the Dirty Dozen. *does the sign of the cross*
Ah the memories of being a child and 'Tough Guy Thursdays' on channel eleven and the likely possibility of seeing a Charles Bronson flick.

Date: 2003-09-03 11:41 am (UTC)Steve McQueen would have said, "fuck that."
McQueen did cool things. He would demand studios buy him extra jeans (like twenty pairs) when making a film or ask for an obscene amount of money. People thought he was a greedy bastard. It turns out he took all of the stuff he acquired and the money he got and would give it to charities and to a reform school he had been in as a kid.
Now that is hip.

It is insanity what people expect when they gain a little power.
I know if I was in that position I would have my mother to keep me in my place should I ever get a big head.
Nothing more frightening then a short formidable Irish/Norwegian Catholic mother pointing out how you are being a bad person.
