calling all needle freaks

I am doing a cross-posting, but to my local lj readers I am looking for a good needle poker. You know, an acupuncturist.
I am having raging migraines and tmj and while I like to take a lot of painkillers and eat dairy, this can't go on forever.
I want someone who is fairly affordable and will leave me in a happier state of mind.

Sympathy. When I was working diet drug cases for my first boss, I did a lot of research on migraine meds. Conclusion: they are pretty useless. If alternate therapies give you relief, good.

My secretary gets migraines every month, on the clock, at work. I really need to deal with this. I can't afford health insurance for her (I'm sure it would be in the $400/mo. range, and she always tells me she'd prefer cash), but if she would just see a doctor, I'd pay the bills. But it can't work that way (sigh!). I'd just like to see her try the meds. They might work; you never know.

Further proof that we need socialized health medicine for the country at large and insurance companies have too much power for their own good.

I knew someone who left the insurance business (something they got into, because they genuinely wanted to help people) because it felt so souless after awhile and they wanted him to do things he found unethical.
