The level of crazy was kept to a minimum at work today. Which suited me fine.
Though a district manager was wandering through today. I do believe she is a genuine parasite in the grand scheme of things. She was truly useless and merely got in the way. She did not make friends of anyone by telling them how to do their job.

Listen sweetheart, keep your bottle-blond Ann Coulterish self out of the way.

Lessee....

I am still inlove with the movie last night. *le sigh*

...

Tonight I am making quiche for dinner. I like it well enough, but Andrew seems really crazy about it. I am not going to question his interest in the dish. Of course any dish with a lot of cheese, bacon, and more cheese is popular with any person with healthy tastebuds.

...

Oh in slightly interesting obscure news, someone came across a book review I wrote a long time ago for some site and really liked it a lot and found it exciting and invited me to join some sort of international book group. How amusing.
Now if I can con someone into paying me to write these things I will be set.

I do believe it is time to soak in a long bath, with a magazine, thinking snarky thoughts about people I know.

::giggle:: I love your use of "snarky".

Quiche rules. May I have a slice, please?

you use words i use. i thought i was the only one who used the word snarky. a former co-worker actually laughed at me when i was apologizing to him for being snarky. that just made me REALLY snarky. : )

snarky is a great part of the lexicon I believe.
It is a nice quiet word.

That sounds great about the book review gig. Actually, if you keep up with it and keep your eyes open for opportunities, seriously, you will eventually get paid for doing it. My sister quit her job to write full time this time last year, and she has had several things published, fiction, etc., and as part of this, she and my brother-in-law, who is as good in the kitchen as they come, got into this gig of writing a he said/she said column reviewing restaurants, coffee bars, etc. in St. Louis (reminds me of your posts sometimes) for a local entertainment paper. She moved on to a copy editing job with them -- again, all volunteer -- but lo and behold! AOL found some of their stuff and has hired them for real money (!!) to do restaurant reviews on line. So it definitely can happen!

I shall have to have a look at the writing.

I figure I will just quietly work on my stuff and something will come of it someday.
