Oh sweetness of life, The Holidays are coming up. I am filled with glee. I went to the grocery store today and they had *takes a deep breath and says in one quick breath* "dairygoldeggnogwiththeprettyyellodesignandthecoupleinasleighonthefrontwhichIlookforwardtoeveryyear."
This is the one store-bought eggnog which I like. It comes in a beautiful canary yellow carton with a couple on a sleigh and this carton is one of my earliest memories. Truly. I recall that carton when I was two years old and lusting after the perfect custardy sweetness that was inside.
The thing about dairygold eggnog is, it isn't too sweet, there is a faint taste of nutmeg and the color is perfection. So I think I will drink a small glass, think about the holidays and neat things like that. *swells with happiness and then stubs her toe*
I bought my fresh turkey on Thursday, I had it in the freezer for a few days, now it is in the fridge. It will be one beautiful bird.
If you are good little bunnies I will talk about the stuffing recipe which I swear by.
....
Last night Mr. Jenner and I saw a production of The Wizard of Oz that my sister was in. Goodness she is one gorgeous creature. She had a million parts. She was a munchkin, a crow, a citizen of emerald city, and a jittberbug. She sang, she danced, she had neat costumes, and she is gorgeous to boot. That is my sister.
This was a hilarious show, because there were kids who played munchkins who were no more then three or four and they looked a little confused. Kind of like old people at their 100th birthday. Andrew's smarty-pants comment of the day was, "I do believe that is the first production I have ever seen that had live chickens." (provided by the Gibson Family Manor)
There were flying monkeys, good witches, and a very well-behaved Toto.
Yes...good times.
