gfrancieThe day dawned, I cooked with all of my heart. Mr. Jenner made his incredibly sexy potatoes (no really, they are that sexy) and then my hilarious family arrived.
They are a fun bunch. We ate way too much food. Everyone ate a ton of pie and then I surprised them with a cheese course. The Martha Stewart in me just shined through. A pretty plate with three cheeses, crackers, some dates, dried apricots and satsumas. It was a bit over the top. Everyone seemed quite....full. I could have checked them for loose change and jewelry and made a tidy little profit.
My sister brought over some tasty brownies as well. They went well with the lemon sorbet.
Yeah we have too much food. Maybe I will invite people over to help get rid of the food.
Who wants to eat turkey sandwiches, rich cheeses and lot's of desserts?
That is what I thought.
After dinner we told awful stories about one another. Did impressions of people we don't like and bad comedians.
"What's the deal with airlines?" "What's the deal with cocktail parties?"
It was classic good fun.
Oh yeah pictures were taken. Soon you may see actual proof of my cooking.
