I rarely do this shit anymore but I have a cake in the oven and some time to kill
Imagine if you will that Miss Gennie somehow wins a ton O cash. Not five bucks from a scratch ticket cash, but Trump Cash.
1. Who do you call first?
I would call up my place of current employment and tell them to take Oprah's book and stick it somewhere uncomfortable, because I quit.
2. What is the first thing you buy for yourself?
I suppose I would buy a useless pair of shoes. But I do that often enough. I would probably buy myself a lovely string of pearls to go with my money.
3. What is the first thing you buy for someone else?
A large pretty house in the country for my entire family to use at their whim. I would buy back the house I grew up in.
4. Do you give any away? If yes, to whom?
Of course. I would become a Grand dame of the arts and support all sorts of lovely projects. Like the late Mrs. Kroc. I would hand out money to people who want to make films, start performing art centers in the boonies. Put kids through school. Just encourage people to be creative. And give money to NPR, just to be a bastard. I would give tons to charity. I would just hand it out like I was freaking Santa Claus
5. Do you invest any? If so, how?
Of course. Probably a lot into the arts because civilization means nothing without the creative spirit. I would also invest money in science, math, anything where a person shows they want to improve the nature of humanity. Give money to the research of all sorts of diseases.
I would want to invest in people.
....
Today I am making a sponge cake with a lemon curd filling. I always have fun making lemon curd. It tastes terrific the day after it has been cooked. I could eat huge spoonfuls on toast.
I ought to create a raspberry glaze for the top of the cake.
So much to toss about.
I love eggs.
